The Battery Park City Authority is currently debating what to do with the beautiful space at Pier A. Mr. Grano, a proud third-generation Italian-American has one answer, build an Italian-American History Museum. Mr. Grano’s plans reach far beyond that of the current Italian American Museum that opened two years ago on Mulberry Street. In the Museum he would like to have a space for wine tasting overlooking the water that could be used for private functions and a space for presentations to visiting school groups. The estimated $25 million project currently has four investors who are ready to contribute $1 million each on behalf of the project and Mr. Grano. BPC Authority has three other submissions and is weighing the options currently. Thank you to the NY Times for this story, you can read the full story here.
