BPC is known for having the some of the most active summer programs and best variety around the city. From May until October each year, local groups, committees and services all strive to get the neighborhood involved. If you are living in Battery Park City or in the area, why not take advantage of these events, many of which are free or have minimal fees. For example. On Oct. 1 from 6pm to 7pm, “Twilight Tour: Flora & Fauna in the Park” has naturalist Karlo Mirth and a BPCPC horticulturalist teaming up for an evening exploration of the Hudson River shore. Visit www.bpcparks.org or call 212-267-9700 to find out about the rest of this summer’s BPC activities.
